A tea room near Stafford is to throw open its doors to people who face this Christmas alone.
Lily’s Secret Vintage Tearoom will provide free tea, coffee and mince pies on Friday, December 22, for anyone facing a lonely Christmas.
“Christmas is a time of year when people go home to celebrate with their families and this can make people who are on their own feel even more isolated than they normally do,” said tearoom owner Sarah Lewis.
“Age Concern say that around 1.2 million older people in the UK feel isolated and we want to do our little bit to support them. There will be Christmas music and a fun festive quiz.”
Lily’s is tucked away inside Swan Pit Nursery, off Newport Road, Gnosall. The tea room will throw its doors open for the event between 10.30am and 1.30pm on the final Friday before Christmas.
