PR Results: Stafford firm celebrates RAF broadband contract success (story in the Staffordshire Newsletter)

COMMUNICATIONS partners TriComms and Media Force UK are flying high with the launch of superfast fibre optic WiFi and fixed line broadband at RAF Wittering.

Recognising the importance of a high-quality broadband service, the installation was partly funded by The Royal Air Force Association (RAFA).

TriComms and Media Force are part of Stafford-based Keycom plc, a specialist superfast broadband and IT provider.

Keycom chief executive Meri Braziel said: “This is a major installation involving 200 wireless access points, 14 kilometres of data cable and five kilometres of fibre optics to link all accommodation and community buildings to superfast broadband services

“It will mean that thousands of people can now access fast and reliable internet and enjoy unlimited downloads without the need for lengthy contracts or costly line rental services.

“RAFA’s involvement demonstrates the benefits that good communications can bring to service personnel who are often far from home and rely on high quality broadband and WiFi to keep in touch with their family.”

TriComms and Media Force work in the UK armed forces sector, providing WiFi and fixed line services and operating on more than 50 Ministry of Defence sites including the Joint HQ at Northwood.
