Top Temp Lauren’s work pays off with a permanent role

Hard work and a willingness to try new tasks has led Lauren Collier to be crowned as Temp of the Year by Brampton Recruitment – and secured her a permanent job.

Lauren, 19, of Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, was placed as a temp at the Chesterton offices of Shield On-Site Services by Newcastle-under-Lyme based Brampton Recruitment.

Just weeks later, Lauren’s hardworking attitude and attention to detail led her to be given a permanent job and a promotion.

Lauren, who is a typist working on asbestos survey reports, said:  “I really enjoy my work and have been promoted twice.

“My employers have looked after me and I even got the chance to visit Holland to work with our Rotterdam office which was a great experience.”

Lauren, who has to take three buses to get to the Shield office in Loomer Road, was nominated for the Temp of the Year award by Lauren’s line manager.

In their nomination, the company emphasised Lauren’s willingness to work hard and the fact that she is going to college in her own time to enhance her skills.

Lauren was presented with £50 in high street gift vouchers by Brampton Recruitment.

Claire Leigh, Managing Director at Brampton Recruitment, said: “We run the annual award as we recognise that the work and importance of Temps to employers and the economy can be overlooked.

“Lauren has demonstrated a great attitude to work and this has led to her securing a permanent role. She is a very worthy winner.”
