Gavin the Chef launches to bring fine dining and much more to your home

A renowned chef who has catered for international sports teams and the RHS at Hampton Court has embarked on a new venture, bringing his sumptuous service to homes across Staffordshire.

Gavin Evans has launched his new company Gavin the Chef and he plans to cook up a storm in customers’ kitchens.

The Staffordshire Moorlands based head chef will bring fine dining to your home, or cook a delicious barbecue in your garden.

He’s also catering for weddings and events and has launched a home delivery service for party food, afternoon teas and other occasions.

The Gavin the Chef brand was born out of lockdown. Gavin, of Cheadle, has 25-years of experience, taking on prestigious roles, including Head Chef for the Formula One British Grand Prix and RHS at Hampton Court, and relief head chef at the Rugby World Cup and with the England cricket team.

However, lockdown saw all 2020 bookings evaporate and left Gavin seeking a new challenge.

He found a lockdown role delivering medication to housebound patients shielding due to Covid-19.

“It was fantastic being able to help vulnerable people during the coronavirus crisis and it also gave me time to think about my career,” said Gavin. “I created the Gavin the Chef brand, had a website built and bought a van.

“I have now begun delivering to customers and the feedback has been extremely satisfying.”
