Mortgage innovators My Simple Mortgage has added a further string to its bow by giving customers access to expert income and mortgage protection advice.

Based in Basford, Newcastle-under-Lyme, My Simple Mortgage has forged a reputation as market leaders in the mortgage arena, recently launching a unique, real time quoting system for its growing UK customer base.

Now, the company has added a protection department, after headhunting Tony Currie, a highly experienced financial services manager.

“At My Simple Mortgage, we’ve worked with other firms in the past, but felt the time was right to provide our own, in house service and it means we now have a holistic mortgage and protection solution.”

The appointment of Tony brings the My Simple Mortgage team to 11 and the company also has trusted associates across the UK.

Added James: “Securing Tony’s services is a coup for My Simple Mortgage. He brings a wealth of experience and attracting him here led us to upgrade our plans. We had initially thought of simply adding one protection specialist but Tony has high level management skills and that’s led us to take action to build a new protection section headed by Tony as our new Business Development Manager.

“Tony will advise our team of consultants, stretching from London to Edinburgh, to ensure customers are given the best available insurance advice. We plan to build a team around Tony and want to offer a chance for a local young person to join us as a trainee administrator through the Government Kickstart programme.”

Tony, who lives in Nantwich, has been working in financial services for 30-years and has led and managed teams for companies including Pearl Assurance and HSBC.

Founded by James in 2014, My Simple Mortgage recently announced further growth plans to create a nationwide team of advisers.

Earlier this year, the company unveiled market leading technology which allows customers to input information to a web app and gain exact information on how much they can borrow, from actual lenders.
