Business fleet specialist Adept Vehicle Management is forecasting a further year of growth after the business was bought by two of its Directors.
Carl Cumbo and Mark Pedley have plans to build on the successful business formula which has seen Newcastle-under-Lyme based Adept Vehicle Management develop a growing presence in the UK business fleet sector.
Established in 2002, by brothers Ian and Chris Phillips, Adept Vehicle Management has built a reputation for excellence which has seen year on year growth and major deals to supply companies across the UK.
Carl and Mark now plan further improvements, including the smart use of new technology, and the launch of an interactive website where customers can get instant sales quotes – www.adeptlease.com.
“Adept Vehicle Management has developed a winning formula and has firmly established a reputation as a vehicle fleet specialist based on core values of excellent customer service,” said Mark. “We gained third place in the UK Customer Experience Awards following an independent audit of how we work with our clients. On top of that this year one of our manager clients won the national ROSPA Gold Fleet Safety Award and Adept manages all aspects of their fleet.”
“The work done by Ian and Chris has developed strong foundations to build on and allows us to evolve the business to engender further growth.”
Mark and Carl both live in North Staffordshire and have a wealth of industry experience. Mark, a previous Director of Adept Vehicle Management, has a 30-year unique track record in the vehicle leasing business working for just one company, Barclay’s owned Appleyard Contracts, then in 2007 working through its integration following its sale to ING Bank.
Carl was a Director at family motor sales firm C&A Cumbo, Burslem, before joining AVM around six years ago.
Carl added: “Adept has established partnerships with most of the leading UK vehicle funders. We are independent, with no ties to the major lenders or dealers, and this allows the company to identify the most competitive pricing for customers and add that to our high customer service levels and proactive account management. We believe this enables our customers to save time and money allowing them to focus on their core activities.”
In addition, Adept can provide a number of technologically advanced products which greatly benefit companies in managing their vehicle fleet, including AVM Fleet Check and Tracker that can produce a bespoke driver mileage and time sheets, also via a linked App that provides daily, weekly or monthly vehicle safety checks. AVM Fuel Card that has the ability to check fuel efficiency and finally the ROSPA award winning AVM Risk Assist that can assess driver competence and safety, through methods such as eye tests, driving licence tests, and assessments of how alert a driver is and knowledge of road signs.
“The key objective with our fleet management product is to manage and measure the real time data. This allows us to ensure that our customer’s fleet is fully compliant and cost controlled,” said Mark Pedley.
“We have grown as a business year on year by going over and above industry standards for customer service,” said Carl. “Our business ethos is to get the very best experience for the customer to ensure that their vehicles are monitored and run effectively via our one stop shop fleet solution.”
