Rotarians are appealing for firms to come forward to help sponsor a fun day out for disadvantaged or disabled children.
Around 300 children are expected to attend the Kids Day Out at Westport Lake on 11 June.
Six Towns Rotary has organised the Kids Day Out following the success of a similar fun day in southern Staffordshire last year.
And the Rotarians are seeking firms who are willing to sponsor children to attend at £10 each.
Emily Jacobs of Six Towns Rotary Club said: “This is an ambitious event and we need the help of local companies to help make it a success.
“Rotarians from North Staffordshire were involved in successfully organising a similar event at Drayton Manor last summer but we found it was just too far for some local children to travel.”
There will be many fun activities including face painting, Zumba, nature trails, graffiti art and Tai Chi. Activities will be accessible to children with disabilities,
To sponsor a child please contact Emily Jacobs on 01782 557800, email [email protected].
Please note: The event is by invitation only and children are not advised to turn up uninvited on the day. There are limited places still available, to book a place for a child, please contact Fay Bolton on 07879 610451. Children must be accompanied by a carer who will have responsibility for their child on the day.
