Health and Safety specialists BPA Services has recorded a 30 per cent increase in business including contracts with world leading security inspection equipment manufacture, Rapiscan, and a host of businesses in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

The Stoke-based business has secured a two-day a month contract to provide consultancy services to Rapiscan’s cargo and vehicle inspection facility in Biddulph.

BPA has clients throughout the UK and locally works with organisations including Stafford and Rural Homes and Waterworld.

Director Darren Bedson said: “It has been a very successful 12 months for our company and the Rapiscan contract is the latest illustration of that. Other new contracts include Spencer Weston, a property development company, in Northwich, and Stockport based Real Construction Solutions.

“Growth in new business is backed up by excellent customer retention rates.”

Added Darren: “I lead a team of three in-house health and safety specialists and this allows us to carry-out all work ourselves and cope with companies of all sizes. We pride ourselves on providing a service beyond expectations so that we can develop long-term working relationships which has resulted in some of our retained clients being with us for a good number of years.

“We have won work across the UK but we are also committed to growing the business locally. We attend property and construction networking groups in Stoke-on-Trent and Congleton and we are among businesses behind the Beartown Business Expo, an event promoting business in Congleton on September 27.”

BPA Services’ customer, Glass and Stainless, of West Street, Congleton, are among companies putting on the Expo at Congleton Town Hall.

John Whitehead, of Glass and Stainless, said: “BPA Services have become part of our business team.

“They work on all of our health and safety risk assessments and help with gaining and renewing industry accreditations.

“Safety assessments are integral to our business. We work on site, installing items such as large glass canopies on public buildings and BPA’s work on risk assessments with our team is a key component on such projects.”
