Electrician David Knight has proved to be among the brightest sparks in the UK with a nomination for the coveted Which? Trusted Trader of the Year award.
Day & Knight Electrical Solutions, is among just a handful of companies to gain a nomination for the award which is run by national consumer watchdogs, Which?
Based in Brocton, Stafford, Day and Knight were among the runners-up from just four finalists in the Which? Trusted Trader Awards in 2015.
“We have been a Which? Trusted Trader for several years and it is a fantastic brand to be associated with,” said David. “It is another step up to be shortlisted for Trusted Trader of the Year. The Trusted Trader scheme is based on rigorous assessment and customer feedback and, to be a finalist is a huge vote of confidence in our business.”
The final will take place at Kings Place London on 25th May.
Which? Put traders through a comprehensive five-step process before allowing then Trusted Trader status. This includes a credit check; scrutiny of customer references by a Which? staff member; business and admin procedure checks; a visit and interview by Which? and signed agreement to the Which? Code of Conduct.
Which? Say they reject many applications to join the scheme and customers benefit from an ombudsman service which would provide an independent resolution in any disputes.
David founded Day and Knight in 2003 and, after becoming a limited company, one year ago, Day and Knight has just taken on its first trainee.
“We work across Staffordshire and the surrounding area and will take on a variety of domestic and commercial work from a faulty light switch to a recent project rewiring an eight bedroom house.”
