Theatre mad digital entrepreneurs Rob Stanway and James Dawe have combined their passion for the stage and business to launch a national online magazine and guide to British theatre.
At The Theatre (www.atthetheatre.co.uk) gives a comprehensive, independent guide to theatres and the productions they are staging.
Launching in time for the festive Panto season, At The Theatre will also include interviews with actors and producers together with news and a handy guide to where to eat, stay and socialise when visiting more than 500m venues across the UK.
Uniquely, At The Theatre will only list one hotel, one restaurant and one bar – all of which will be recommended by the theatre in their neighbourhood.
Rob and James are Directors of ATT a successful web design company employing eight people in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
They believe At The Theatre is the most comprehensive theatre guide on the market and will prove an invaluable aid to both casual and regular theatre-goers.
“While striving hard to build our business, we have always been working away researching how we can turn our passion for the theatre into a rewarding business that gives added value to theatre-goers,” said Rob.
“We plan to make At The Theatre the premium port of call for anyone looking to see a show. People can log on to see exactly what is on where and we aim to review every professional West End show and touring production..”
At The Theatre is currently recruiting a Deputy Editor to help Rob and James to constantly up-date the site.
“There is a great deal of work that goes into this, we are currently adding content for 500 theatres and 200 shows,” added Rob. “The site is then funded by selling advertising to recommended hotels, pubs and restaurants close to each venue.
“We are asking each theatre for their top recommendations on where to eat, where to stay and where to get a drink. The feedback from the theatres has been excellent.”
James is a familiar face on the professional theatre circuit in the Midlands and North West while Rob has produced professional shows and is an all round theatre enthusiast.

Notes to Editors:
www.atthetheatre.co.uk and the ATT web agency are both run by Rob Stanway and James Dawe who head a team of eight staff based at the Sutherland Institute, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
At The Theatre is an online, glossy magazine giving easily-searchable, up-to-the-minute information written by theatre-goers.
At The Theatre allows readers to easily plan a theatre trip to any professional theatre in the UK. Site editors only allow a bar, restaurant or hotel to advertise on the website if the local theatre would recommend it themselves. These adverts, that double up as recommendations, are the only advertisements that viewers will see on www.atthetheatre.co.uk.
