Expanding roofing company moving up to new headquarters

A growing family run company is completing a successful 2013 by buying a large new office, training and storage facility.

Rydale Roofing, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, has grown from employing just a handful of staff in 2009 to having more than 20 on the payroll in 2013.

While owners Mick and Julie Mirowski have overseen an expansion plan which has seen the company win several large roofing contracts.

Now Rydale Roofing has bought a large business unit at Silverdale Enterprise Park with separate spaces for a head office and storage depot.

The company also has plans to develop a training facility in the building in an initiative designed to continually improve the industry’s skill base.

“it is a short move in distance as we previously rented at the enterprise park, but our new base is around double the size and we are buying our own business premises for the first time,” said Julie.

“We have grown and taken on larger contracts with organisations including locally based Aspire Housing and we now need a larger storage depot.

Julie added: “High quality staff training is also a priority at Rydale Roofing.  We currently work with the Aspire Group to ensure our apprentices are fully trained and we are exploring ways of using our facilities at Silverdale to provide career development programmes and training opportunities for our entire workforce.”

“It may be possible in the future for Rydale to offer accredited training to other companies.”

The company’s new base is at Arlington Court, Silverdale Enterprise Park, ST5 6SS.

Notes to Editors:

Rydale Roofing was launched after Mick, a former miner, lost his job during the pit closure programme in the early 1990s.

The company takes on any size of roofing work from a small leak in anIndividual home to major contracts and sub-contracts.

The company recently branched out into the solar energy section, supplying and fitting photo voltaic panels on both homes and larger buildings.
