Experienced Insolvency Manager Ben Gray joins Currie Young

An accomplished insolvency specialist with a strong commitment to saving jobs is returning to his North Staffordshire roots.

Ben joins Currie Young from his recent role as an Insolvency Manager in Manchester and Leeds. Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, Ben holds a law degree and brings experience from both the Government Insolvency Service and private practice.

“I’m excited to join Currie Young, where I’ll be leading a dedicated team,” Ben shared. “Currie Young is a forward-thinking firm and an emerging leader in the sector. They share my passion for problem-solving and job preservation. While insolvency practitioners often face a challenging public image, we’re equally focused on rescuing businesses and, when that isn’t feasible, saving as many jobs as possible.”

With headquarters in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Currie Young also has offices in Lichfield and Brierley Hill. Founded in 2015 by experienced insolvency practitioner Steve Currie, the company has grown its team in recent months, welcoming senior staff members and three apprentices.

“Adding Ben to our team highlights our success in attracting top talent to drive our growth,” said Steve Currie. “Ben brings with him a wealth of senior-level experience and a strong commitment to proactive client service.”

Originally from Meir Park and a former pupil of Blythe Bridge High School, Ben graduated with a law degree in 2005 and later qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner.

“Often, early intervention from a firm like Currie Young can be the key to turning around businesses facing cash flow challenges,” Ben added. “Companies that seek support early have more options to stabilise the business and protect jobs.”
