Experienced former banker Joanne Webster-Sisson has joined growing commercial finance company Beta CF.

Joanne will support commercial customers at the Staffordshire Moorlands company, ensuring finance applications go from acceptance to completion. She’s the third new employee at Beta Commercial Finance in just over 12 months and the expansion recognises both the expansion planning by Beta and the demand from companies as the economy recovers from Covid-19 lockdowns.

Company Managing Director Tom Wilkinson says the market is expanding and that can only be positive news for company growth and jobs in Staffordshire and beyond.

Tom added: “It’s good to welcome Joanne to our team. She comes to Beta with experience as a former RBS business banker and her role will involve guiding customers as their transactions go from the initial funding offers through to completion.

“Joanne’s appointment is a positive sign not only for our expanding business but also because of the health and optimism that’s rising in the UK economy. There’s been a pent up desire to grow during Covid-19 lockdown and that’s now blossoming into real deals.”

Based in High Street, Alton, Beta CF have a team of five finance experts who help to support companies when they need finance. This leads to deals to help company senior management teams to buy premises or machinery and to finance viable expansion plans.

Tom, a fellow former banker, founded the company in 2016 to give growing companies an option. He explained: “Up until the financial crash of 2008, many companies would speak to their bank manager if they wanted to raise capital.  While that route to market has become less available commercial finance companies can explore the whole of the market for clients and find flexible solutions. We are not tied to one lender.”

Joanne joins a team headed by Tom and Senior Account Manager, Jacqui Wright, who both have many years of experience in sourcing financial solutions for business, first within the big High Street banks and now with Beta, founded in 2016. They were joined in 2020 by Commercial Manager Becky Kilday and Account Manger Sue Matthews.
