More growth forecast at Premier Tax Solutions as accountants jump ahead of the curve on Making Tax Digital

Smart use of technology and an investment in training has put Premier Tax Solutions ahead of the curve on new Making Tax Digital rules.
The new legislation is seen as a financial headache for many small and medium sized businesses as they will have to file returns four times a year from 2019.
Recent research, carried out by You Gov, suggests that a third of businesses are unprepared for the MTD rules – around 880,000 VAT-registered businesses.
But Cheadle and Shelton based Premier Tax Solutions say all of its VAT registered clients are geared up for the changes and they are gearing up to take on more business with plans to add to their six-strong team.
“From inception as a company, Premier Tax Solutions has placed emphasis on using the best available technology to support our clients,” said Director Vanessa Fuller.
“With 100 per cent of our VAT-registered clients on the Xero accountancy software, they will all be fully compliant with Making Tax Digital rules. Our clients will notice no difference as we have set up their programmes to administer the new HMRC reports automatically on a quarterly basis.”
Premier Tax Solutions has invested in comprehensive Xero training for its team and have paid for all staff to attend the flagship Xero conference in London in November.
“The whole team will go to Xerocon, at ExCel, London, as part of our programme to ensure all staff are up to date with developments in accountancy software.
Vanessa said: “Premier Tax Solutions is a Xero Gold partner and this means that all our VAT registered clients get real time accountancy services where their bank accounts, cashflow and profit and loss figures are visible via computer click. Importantly, Xero is part of a pilot project with HMRC which has ensured they are fully compatible with Making Tax Digital.
“Many small businesses fear that Making Tax Digital will come at a high cost, but we can ensure that our clients are compatible and that there are no extra charges for current clients.
“We are ready to take on additional VAT-registered customers and we want to recruit a part qualified accountant as we gear up for additional demand.”
Founded by Vanessa Fuller and Emily Precious in 2013, from separate home offices, Premier Tax Solutions has shown year on year growth, establishing offices in Raymond Street, Shelton, and then expanding into an impressive head office, in 2018, at the new Daisy Bank Business Centre, Cheadle.
The company has a detailed 10-year strategy with forecasts of growth involving establishing a third Staffordshire office and turnover of £1 million.
