Open Day planned as business group celebrates success

A company is on course to do its biggest piece of business to date thanks to a referral from a thriving networking group.

Business for Breakfast (BforB) was launched in Uttoxeter six months ago and is inviting business people to an open meeting on Thursday, 22 November.

And a referral from Uttoxeter town centre based Dove Accountants, is paying dividends for group member James Miller of AMB Insurance Services.

James, Senior Commercial Account Executive at Wolstanton based AMB, said: “Dove Accountants gave me a referral for a local company which has so far turned into tens of thousands of pounds worth of new business.

“The company is growing and this could well become our biggest single account.  It was well worth getting up early in the morning for.”

The Uttoxeter Business for Breakfast group is based at the White Hart Hotel and meets fortnightly on Thursday mornings. Breakfast is served at 7am.

BforB was launched nationally in 2006 and has proved popular in Staffordshire where nine groups have been launched since the first local group was established at the Moat House, Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent, in 2010.

Chris Pettitt, of Dove Accountants, is the Host at the Uttoxeter group.  He said: “Generally, meetings are limited to one person per business sector but we are throwing our meeting, on 22 November, open to all comers.

As a company, Dove Accountants recognise the value of regular networking as both a potential generator of new business and a forum for companies to discuss potential partnership initiatives and to learn from each others’ experiences.”
