Cyber security and workplace computing company SyTech IT are bringing UK experts to North Staffordshire to help businesses to prepare for 2026.
Darren Kirby, Managing Director, at Stoke-on-Trent based SyTech IT says firms need a reset for 2026 as online threats continue to grow.
The free business seminar to be held at the Business Lodge, Trent House, Fenton, on 14 November, will study the future threat landscape and support companies to plan for 2026.
Darren, who has over a decade in senior IT leadership, will be joined by leaders from cyber experts, WatchGuard, Cyber Smart and KnowBe4.
Darren said: “This is going to be a practical workshop where delegates will go away with a range of potential options to help them plan their IT and cyber security for 2026, as well as upcoming digital legislation changes impacting all business.
“We are focusing on resilience. Everyone has seen the headlines around the long shutdown at Jaguar Land Rover, and severe disruption for companies such as Marks & Spencer, Heathrow Airport, and Harrods. Crucially though, these threats do not just harm these well-known organisations, the Government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025, said just over four in ten businesses (43%) and three in 10 charities (30%) reported having experienced any kind of cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months.”
SyTech IT can guide companies as they work to achieve Cyber Essentials Plus, the government’s gold standard for online protection.

Darren added, the four-hour event – 10am to 2pm – is aimed at business owners and IT leaders who are planning for 2026. We will aim the content at people of all abilities; there is no specific IT knowledge required.”
