Quintessential Quarters forges alliance with travel agency Wanderluxe and adds new staff as holidays begin to return for Christmas and 2021

Staffordshire boarding kennels and cattery Quintessential Quarters is looking forward to 2021 with staff returning to the business and a partnership with a local travel agency.

It has been an unusual year for the Cotes Heath based business which had to furlough staff twice, and close their home away from home for cats and dogs, due to Coronavirus.

But with families able to book a Christmas break, three staff are being brought back into the business, and a new trainee is being sought, as owner Jacqueline Montegrino is preparing for a much happier new year.

With a picturesque farmhouse setting, in the Staffordshire countryside, Jacqueline has built a popular business with high standards of care over 16-years of trading.

Along with dog kennels and a cattery, Quintessential Quarters has an award winning pet grooming service and Quintessential Wedding Day Dogs which provides a chaperone service so that the bride and groom can have their beloved pets at their big day, without the headaches of having to look after them.

Jacqueline said: “We have three staff back for Christmas and, with the recent good news on vaccines, we’re looking forward to a brighter future. The kennels and cattery is strongly linked to holidays and business trips and, of course, there’s been hardly any travel in 2020. We are also planning to bring on a new trainee through the Government’s Kickstart scheme as I believe in the benefits of developing and training our own staff.

Next year should be different and, with that in mind, we have linked up with local travel business, Wanderluxe. Based in Stone, Wanderluxe is run by experienced travel consultant Lisa Russell, who I know from using her services, has the same high standards of customer service that we live by at Quintessential Quarters.

“By forging a partnership, I can recommend Wanderluxe to customers seeking a holiday and Lisa can provide a solution to how to board treasured pets while people are on vacation or a business trip.”

Lisa said:  It’s great to work with Jacqueline and Quintessential Quarters as my preferred partner for clients animal boarding needs. This means that I can provide a total one stop solution for everything that they need to consider as part of a holiday getaway.

“The superior standards ensure that client’s pets will enjoy a high standard of accommodation just like they will be enjoying on holiday (if not better) with every need catered for thus giving the client total piece of mind that whilst they are enjoying their breakaway, their pet will be enjoying theirs.  I can vouch for this as my dogs board there when we travel and as an agent we travel a lot.”

Alongside boarding, Jaqueline runs Quintessential Cuts, an on-site  pet grooming service, and Quintessential Wedding Day Dogs. Each year, many holidaymakers add a grooming package when their pets stay at Quintessential Quarters, with dogs groomed and pampered ready for collection when their owners return from time away.

The wedding day service includes dog grooming, aromatherapy to calm pets and humans’ nerves, and a dog chaperone to get the pooch to the church on time. Jacqueline, an experienced dog behaviourist, also provides training for dogs on ring bearing duties.
