Staffordshire Kitchens unveils new wider home design focus and adds new suppliers

A Stafford based kitchen design and retail specialist has emerged from the pandemic strongly and has unveiled new partnerships, including one with local manufacture, Getley UK.

Staffordshire Kitchens has also added graduate architect Louise Williams to its team, as owner Sandra Johnson sets her sights on a more holistic home design focus.

Sandra launched Staffordshire Kitchens in early 2020 and opened a showroom in North Walls, Stafford, in March. Within days, the premises was forced to close as England locked down to control Covid-19.

Despite this, Staffordshire Kitchens traded successfully in year one and is set to grow.

“While the showroom provided a focal point for the business, I was able to keep meeting customers in their own homes and we sold kitchens,” explained Sandra.

“Many people spent far more time at home than usual during 2020 and realised that changes needed to be made if they were to make the most of the space in their homes.

“This is where Staffordshire Kitchens has a competitive advantage as I am an interior designer and I can work with home owners to reconfigure there living space. Bringing Louise into the business adds to that focus as we are a company that goes much further than simply selling kitchens. We offer advice on how to reconfigure space, moving walls and doors as necessary, to make your home more user friendly and we  use computer-aided design to allow customers to visualise what their transformed home will look like.

“We then bring in trusted builders and project manage each job from design to completion.”

Staffordshire Kitchens has exclusive access to an extensive range of high quality German made kitchens.

During lockdown, Sandra has worked to add additional choice, by forming a partnership with well-known appliance supplier Smeg and becoming registered as a retailer with the 1909 British kitchen brand, based in County Durham.

Added Sandra: “1909 produces high quality classically designed kitchens, which complement our own range of German contemporary kitchen designs.

“We’ve also signed a deal to supply Alku kitchen cabinets. The Alku range is made by Getley who are based at Astonfields Industrial Estate, Stafford.”
