BEAT THE VAT MAN AND SAVE MONEY AT THE PUMPS

A leading car tuning business is urging motorists to beat the VAT blues and fight back against price rises at the fuel pumps.

Black Code – the UK’s number one vehicle remapping company – can save motorists 15 per cent on fuel prices.

Motorists have endured a miserable start to 2011 as a 2.5 per cent rise in VAT coupled with rising fuel prices has seen petrol prices peak at more than £1.30 a litre.

Oliver Billson, who heads up the Staffordshire based company, said: “We have seen prices rise by almost 20 pence for a litre of petrol or diesel in the past 12 months and many people are struggling to pay to fill up their cars.

“Black Code remapping can help – economy tuning can save motorists up to 15 per cent on fuel costs.”

Black Code was launched in Baswich, Stafford, in 2007 and has grown to have 18 branches across the UK.

Vehicle remapping works because car manufacturers’ standard settings do not maximise a vehicles fuel efficiency or power. This is done deliberately because global car producers sell in several different markets and limit their vehicles’ performance to allow for poor fuel quality and extreme climatic conditions.

Black Code’s technicians remap cars to allow for the higher standards of fuel and more user friendly conditions available to motorists in the UK.

The remapping system allows motorists to opt for either better levels of fuel economy or up to 35 per cent more power and torque, depending on their driving preferences.
