Blink Recruitment forges ahead with jobs and growth despite being born in lockdown

A new recruitment company which began trading this summer has forecast a bright future after placing 100 people in permanent roles in less than six months.

Blink Recruitment , based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has created four jobs within its own business and expects to bring in further new recruits in 2021.

The company was launched by successful digital services entrepreneur Tracy Hollins and experience recruiter, Dan Rodziewicz.

Tracy founded Blink Digital three years ago and has built a successful business developing websites and providing smart solutions to automise company processes online. Earlier this year, a meeting with Dan, who has managed recruitment teams for many years, led to the development of Blink Recruitment, with both companies operating out of offices in Queen Street, Newcastle.

Dan, who is now Managing Director of Blink Recruitment said: “I was looking for a new challenge and Tracy saw the opportunity for us to work together to establish a new recruitment company. It has worked perfectly, Blink Recruitment has taken advantage of Tracy and her team’s expertise in creating digital systems, creating a streamlined paperless back office system, and I have brought the recruitment expertise.

“Within 18 weeks of beginning trading, we have placed more than 100 people into permanent jobs and have over 100 candidates at various stages of temporary to pemanent contracts, all, of course, are much needed during the current global pandemic. I have recruited my own team of two recruitment consultants, a compliance manager and a social media manager, and I’m expecting to recruit at least one more consultant in early 2021.

Blink Recruitment is profitable and has a healthy turnover, providing a stable base for further growth in 2021.

“We’re proud of what we have achieved, particularly during a global economic slowdown where jobs are at a premium.”

The Blink Recruitment jobs are in addition to those at Blink Digital with Tracy progressing from self-employment to a seven-strong team within three years.

Dan said he believed the recipe for success of Blink Recruitment resulted from a combination of a strong customer focus and the use of digital back office services to aid efficiency.

“I have previously managed recruitment teams but have also had to focus on all the back room admin work,” explained Dan. “Tracy’s ability and knowledge in digital, hi-tech services has freed m up to concentrate on the most important part of my role and that’s to lead the recruitment team.  We have a clear focus on customer service, ensuring that every candidate is given all possible opportunities to secure a job.  We’ve also become a trusted partner with several local companies, signing exclusive contracts to recruit their new staff.

“We believe that we have a string base to grow, with short term plans to add in new staff and longer term aims of expanding into additional office bases around the Midlands and North West.”

Blink Recruitment work across the full recruitment spectrum with specialisms in sectors including industrial, engineering, logistics, construction and admin services. To find out more about Blink Recruitment please go online to www.blinkrecruitment.net
