A flooring specialist, with around 40-years of experience in retail, has set up a new consultancy with a pledge to save families and commercial customers money.

Huw Chapman is going it alone after a long and successful career in retail management.

The Endon business owner says a combination of high-level knowledge and a lean business model are a winning formula for anyone looking for carpets or other flooring products.

Working as a specialist freelance consultant means Huw can search the market, work flexibly, and offer bespoke, specialist solutions for homes, offices or retail premises, from floor tiles through to luxury carpets and the latest wooden and synthetic flooring products. .

“I’m a familiar face on the retail scene to many having worked hard to make the United Carpets stores in Fenton and Shrewsbury a success, but I wanted a final challenge in my career,” said Huw.

“I’ve started again, as freelance flooring consultant and that means I can use all my sector knowledge to get customers the best deal possible. It’s just me, working from home, so I have less overheads and, by combining that with market knowledge, I’m able to provide a bespoke service at a very competitive price.”

Huw, who has also run major stores for Allied Carpets, can provide solutions for both householders and business. He’ll come into your home or workplace and suggest the best available solutions in terms of carpets, wooden or composite floors, vinyl flooring, or even synthetic grass.

Huw added: “I have a range of contacts with suppliers and lots of samples for customers to see. Whether you have a solution in mind or want an expert outside eye, I can help. Working independently also allows me to partner with skilled trades and craft workers, such as carpenters, so I’m planning to help other small businesses too.”
