New referrals group plans to take business to infinity and beyond!

A new business referral group is primed for launch in Staffordshire and it includes a unique link to a well-known children’s charity.

Business people will be joined by staff from Caudwell Children at their weekly meetings. Once a month, the group will meet at the headquarters of the charity on the Keele University business park.

BNI Infinity is part of the international organisation’s Staffordshire network. The county groups provide a major boost for local SME companies – with over £8 million of invoiced business being banked annually.

“Infinity is our first group on the Keele Business Park and it’s been very well received,” said Carly Twigg of BNI Staffordshire. “We currently have 15 members and we’re looking for two more members before we officially launch.”

BNI, the largest global business networking organisation, has a policy of “soft”  launches for groups, allowing members to work together and prepare for an official launch once they total 17 members.

Added Carly: “Our pre-launch members are already working co-operatively and passing thousands of pounds worth of business.”

The Keele business park location and the link with Caudwell Children are seen as major assets for the group.

Roxanne Barker, the group’s BNI Director Consultant, said:  “Our Keele address has allowed us to foster relationships with companies on the business park and members are already providing business links for Keele University students. It’s also fantastic to link up with such a prestigious charity as Caudwell Children.”

The charity works with disabled and autistic children and their families.

Added Roxanne: “We have a dynamic core group of members and are looking to add more in sectors such as health and safety, commercial photography, printing and will writing. The BNI system allows one member per business sector and this allows every member to work hard to find referrals for each other with no business conflict.”

The group has a hybrid approach with meetings each Wednesday, beginning at 10.30am. The meeting on the first Wednesday each month is held at Caudwell Children, with the remainder online.
