A Staffordshire architect is forecasting further growth having taken on additional staff to support its growing client list.
Croft Architecture now has four qualified architects in a seven-strong team and is looking to employ further experience staff at its base on the Staffordshire Technology Park, Stafford.
The business has won a raft of new development projects in 2018, with growth in both the design of commercial and housing projects.
“Our portfolio is diverse, with, for example, housing projects in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, work to remodel areas of the Moddershall Oaks leisure spa, the change of use of the former Milward Hall Youth Centre, Leek, into town centre apartments,” said Managing Director Carl Croft.
“The chance to work on a varied range of projects means we can attract qualified and trainee architects and we have recently recruited architect Karolina Alder to the team along with administrator Deborah Sones.”

Current projects for Croft Architecture, include a 31-home plan on the site of the former Flash Ley Resource Centre, around two miles south of Stafford town centre. A planning application has been submitted to Stafford Borough Council and is awaiting consideration.
Carl said: “The site is situated on the north side of Hawksmoor Road, between Brook Glen Road and Howard Road and next to Flash Ley Community Primary School. We believe our plans for 30 semi-detached and one detached home fit well within the existing pattern of development in the area, while also minimising the impact on existing roads. Parking is to be provided to the front of each property.
“All house types have been designed in a style appropriate for town houses. The walls will be finished in facing brick, with stone effect lintels to the front facades to add contrast and visual interest and front and back gardens are planned for all 31 homes.
“We see this as an attractive plan and a positive solution for the use of an empty site which was previously owned by Staffordshire County Council.”
